Thor #178 Synopsis by Marvel Comics
With Surtur's defeat, all of Asgard celebrates, but Thor senses a new danger.

On the Stranger's laboratory world, the Abomination accidentally activates the Stranger's space scanner, bringing Thor from Asgard. The Abomination claims that the Stranger has captured Thor, showing him the Stranger's other captives as proof. Thor sets the captives free but triggers an alarm that summons the Stranger.

Thor attacks the Stranger, but is outclassed. To gather intelligence, Thor flees, becomes Dr. Donald Blake and stumbles on the Abomination scheming with the freed prisoners who are all evil, having been brought there by the Stranger for the greater good. The Abomination separates Blake from his cane, but Sif comes to aid him and restores the cane.

As Thor, he defeats the prisoners but, fearing what might happen if the Stranger follows him back to Asgard, uses Mjolnir to turn back time to before he set the prisoners free. This time he knocks out the Abomination then returns to Asgard without the Stranger ever encountering him.
