Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Thor #175 Synopsis by Marvel Comics
Thor helps the police prevent a highway robbery.

In Nornheim, Balder and the Warriors Three demand that Karnilla release them. She readily complies. Realizing it is time for the Odinsleep, the Asgardians hope to hurry home to thwart Loki but find Mountain Giants, trolls, gnomes and demons already mobilizing under Loki's command.

Meanwhile, Sif locates Thor on Earth. They return to Asgard to find their people at war with Loki's armies. Sif heads to Odin's sleep chamber while a troll's dragon seizes Thor. During the battle, Loki steals away to Odin's chamber where he abuses his title as prince to force the guards to take Sif prisoner, then seizes the Odinring from the sleeping Odin's finger.

Hogun rescues Thor but trumpeters signal the battle's end as Loki dons regal attire and declares himself ruler of Asgard due to the ring.

The Asgardians bow to him. At first, Thor refuses but told that Sif is a prisoner, he also acknowledges Loki as his king.
